The Pizitz Post
for Students, Parents & Families
December 16, 2024
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
We love celebrating the holiday season with our middle schoolers! In the week ahead, amidst all of the learning opportunities for our students, we have lots of opportunities to celebrate the season as well.

The band helped us kick off the season last week with a beautiful band concert. This evening, we have the opportunity to hear from our choir, too. As a school we will gather a couple of times this week for different celebrations. You can expect altered schedules on the following dates this week:
  • Tuesday we will have a morning assembly to hear from our band and choir;
  • Wednesday we will have an afternoon holiday-style pep-rally to celebrate our winter student groups, clubs, and teams; and
  • Friday we will have a class parties in the morning, Core Crew during lunch, and a two-hour early dismissal (at 1:00 for Pizitz).
We look forward to a busy week ahead, and we sincerely hope that you and your families have a wonderful holiday season.

Student Involvement
Core Crew Plans for Friday
Students, this year we created your Core Crew groups out of your homeroom classes. Every homeroom was matched up with two other homerooms (one from each grade-level) for the year. Our first event started with I am Vestavia Week and you were divided up to compete by country. This Friday, you will have the opportunity to mix up with your Core Crew again during lunch. Before and/or after your assigned lunch time, you will be working together to create notes of holiday cheer for our local nursing homes. They love hearing from students in our community. Stay tuned for more information on Friday's service opportunity.
7th Grade Party
Did you attend the 7th grade party on Friday? If so, make sure to say THANK YOU to our teachers who chaperoned the party along with our amazing SGA who helped with set-up and clean-up for the event.
