Donna is one of three assistant principals at Louis Pizitz Middle School. She enjoys serving the community of Vestavia Hills as an educational leader.

Donna began her teaching career in 1992 teaching first grade at Peter Joe Hamilton Elementary School in Chickasaw, Alabama. The following year she moved to teach second grade and stayed in that position until 1997 when she accepted a position at Daphne Elementary in Daphne, Alabama. She taught there for two years and then decided to stay home with her three children. In 2006, she returned to teaching after accepting a position to teach second grade at Christ the King in Daphne, Alabama. In 2013 she moved to serve the school as assistant principal. In 2017 she was named assistant principal at Chickasaw Middle and High School.  She had the opportunity to move to Birmingham and was named assistant principal at Louis Pizitz Middle School in 2019.

Donna has three children, Ben, Brooke and Annie. She enjoys walking, reading, and spending time with her children and her extended family. She enjoys watching her daughter play basketball and tennis and watching especially Auburn football. She is proud to be a Pirate and to be part of the Vestavia Hills community.
