PIZITZ MIDDLE SCHOOL COUNSELING MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Pizitz Middle School Counseling Department is to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students by fostering resilience, self-awareness, and a love of learning. We collaborate with families, staff, and the community to ensure each student learns without limits, preparing them to thrive as confident, compassionate, and capable individuals in a diverse and ever-changing world.

  • A cream-colored poodle wearing a blue bandana that says 'TRAINING'.Justice is expertly trained by Fidos Facility Dogs to serve the students and staff of Pizitz by providing emotional and physical support, teaching responsibility through human-animal interaction, and being available as stress relief. 

    What are the benefits of Facility Dogs?

    • Fosters trust
    • Eases anxiety and reduces stress
    • Provides affection
    • Improves socialization
    • Increases communication skills
    • Expands attentiveness and engagement

     

    What services will Justice provide?

    • Scheduled classroom visits: Within the classroom setting, Justice may be a calming presence or may be interacting with students 
    • Assist the Counseling Department: Justice will assist the School Counselors with individual and small-group student needs.  
       

    Meet our Canine Partners

    We are still looking to partner with businesses in our community to help care for Justice. Vestavia Animal Clinic will be taking care of all of Justice's vet needs. We are still looking for a groomer to partner with and some sponsors for Justice's food/treats. If you or your business would like to help support, please email payneac@vhcs.us
